Consular employee Wonderful. Now, do you have any ties(6) to Brazil that would assure your return after your stay in the United States?

Applicant: Yes, I'm currently employed as a software engineer at a reputable firm here in Brazil. I have been working there for five years and I have significant responsibilities that I wouldn't want to abandon(7). I also own a property here and have family ties, so my return is assured.

Consular employee That definitely helps establish your ties to Brazil. Now, I need to ask about your financial situation. Can you provide evidence(8) that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in the United States?
